The Islander was greatly insulted when Outsiders unknowingly **disparaged** customs beyond their ken. “ **Ignorance** is bliss” was not in effect there, About the outsiders’ pleas, he did not care. Some teenagers’ morals are loose, but ignorance is no excuse. Saving “love” until **marriage** should not be disparaged, though **peer** pressure might feel like abuse. ---
