So glad you have a plan, do not attempt a piecemeal rehabilitation. Rip out the floors and walls, tear it down. ANd is that an AC unit hung from the hallway ceiling? Did you get a redecorating allowance from the seller? Room to expand too! Lovely yard, I see a huge catalpa tree. Congrats on your ugly inside house. 😉 ---

Actually, **chela** , the tree is a [url=http://www.paulowniatrees.org/]Paulownia[/a]. The lady who sold us the house said they’re very expensive, and I’ve got a ton of then growing in the back part of the yard! I’ll be rich! RICH I say!! 😃 ---

But, **'Toons** , it does work just fine - I placed a call on it and everything! It needs to be cleaned, tho, as does just about everything in this house. The former owners were not the cleanest of people… ---

The first day we were in, we were cleaning in preparation for painting. I gave my then-five-year-old daughter a bottle of Windex and a rag and told her she could clean the fridge. (The fridge was white, and just needed to be wiped down) She went out to the kitchen and came back a few minutes later. She looked confused. She said, “This stuff is blue in the bottle, but when I spray it on the refrigerator, the drips are all brown.
