I like both, the people I have no time for on GB are the same people I have no time for here, and it’s clear to me (now) it isn’t the venue that’s at fault. Don’t really post there much, but I like reading the retrosnark. ---

Based on the stereotype of the “Valley Girl” I would say that the comparison with the San Fernando Valley would be to Long Island rather than to New Jersey. \*Yes, I know that there are some very nice places in New Jersey and its image isn’t entirely justified. I’m talking about the stereotype of New Jersey rather than its actuality. ---

I’m talking about the stereotype of New Jersey rather than its actuality. Those areas (mainly along the NJ Turnpike) are there on purpose to discourage Bennies from coming to NJ. The Jersey Shore has virtually nothing to do with New Jersey however and the cast were all out of staters. Sadly the Sopranos is almost a reality. Close enough for TV. New Jersey is the best and worst of states. ---
