We’ve already covered the year, but:

1984 - Van Halen. It’s not just the title of the album, but also the title of the first [track](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0mN7rvgb-4). Is that a twofer? Shoot, it was also released in 1984.

I think you’re reading a lot more into the song than is meant to be there. It’s not a biography. “Summer of '69” just sounds better than “Summer of '77.”
