Iā€™ve seen it advanced elsewhere that when Cain says ā€œnope thatā€™s a different oneā€ heā€™s unintentionally referring to the script he memorized. He was giving the answer to a different question that he was coached on. ---

No, he understood the question, he just couldnā€™t get his mind around which country Libya was and what Obama had done. But the thing is, itā€™s not like there are dozens and dozens of such countries. At most, there are 3. He seemed exhausted and disoriented. But really, how hard is to remember what Libya is, and what happened. ---

Iā€™ll say it again: please God let this man be the Republicans nomination! Has there been any polling data that has looked at the publicā€™s perception of the GOP before and after this primary season? An observer of their candidates might reach the fair and balanced conclusion that the GOP consists entirely of a bunch of nutjobs, whackadoos and idiots. ---

Yea, he comes up with the name Quaddafi and that Obama had him overthrown on his own (though he doesnā€™t exactly sound confident that he has that right), so he was at least aware of what the US did in Libya. But he pretty transparently doesnā€™t have his own opinion about it, and is struggling to remember what his handlers told him his opinion should be. Which wouldnā€™t be so bad if it were a more obscure country, but Libya has been the top international news story for most of the time Cain has been running for Prez. Its kind of unreal that he obviously hasnā€™t spent a little time thinking about it. ---
