A valid point, except that running for office is not the same as being in office during a boom economy, and sexual harassment is not the same as a consensual affair. He’d like to give Cain the benefit of the doubt , while I tend to judge his handling of this as an indication that he’s probably guilty. ---

I don’t see Cain’s campaign surviving this story. It’s not the harassment, which seems to be true, it’s his handling of it- from “It never happened” to “I’m a victim” to “I only said/did this”, and now “I might remember more later.” He’s thoroughly tainted with ick factor now and his supporters will dwindle to Palin sized soon enough. How long before some women who actually took him up on his ‘offers’ show up? ---
