# The man in the moon; can you see him?

I live in the southern hemisphere so I see the moon [rotated about 120°](http://guanolad.com/stuff/moon_orientation.jpg) where all I can see is [a cat face](https://www.dropbox.com/s/289taoid856ui7g/MoonCat.jpg?dl=0).

I see your point. If I were on the Equator, the moon would more or less appear to be sideways when it’s near the horizon.

I have a pretty good eye for pareidolia, but I have never seen a man in the moon.
