I. The Mary Tyler Moore Show II. Cheers III. The Simpsons IV. Frasier To be honest I’m surprised at these results. I can’t believe Frasier made it this far. I agree with Hal Briston: The Simpsons is going to win, and it likely deserves to. It’s been on longer than any other sitcom in the history of American television ( think it outlasted MASH this year) and even if you take out the last few really bad seasons it has more wonderful episodes than any other show. It’s a huge, huge cultural event and was responsible for returning animation to prime time; King of the Hill, Futurama and Family Guy owe their existence to it. Being matched up with Seinfield in the Elite 8 is a bit unfair to both shows, because they are probably both better than the other six finalists. ---

Frasier vs. **News Radio** In my book The Simpsons beat out Seinfeld only after a game that was within one point, score going back and forth, the entire game. In the end, The Simpsons won by one shot in triple overtime, due to sheer volume. ---
