I’ve gotten email from a lot of Dopers. I’ve sent a few too. The first ones I ever got were way back when I was a newbie and David B and I exchanged a flurry of acrimonious emails on the topics of aliens. I also got a flurry of email support back when Lynn Bodoni singled me out for punishment and deleted all my posts (dozens and dozens) in the BBQ Pit. Since then, I’ve traded some emails with 5-6 regulars. I’ve recieved as many as 8 emails in the past week. P.S. I belive that I’m the unnamed “someone” in Slythe’s post. I challenged his hypocrisy via email once and he reacted poorly, so I decided to stick with calling him out in public instead of private. * * * Contestant #3 ---

pluto: you can use Bigfoot, I think its just [www.bigfoot.com](http://www.bigfoot.com) and it allows you to bounce that e mail(to it) to your office.If it gets annoying, change it to bounce to another e amil. ---

I have met a few interesting folks on this board. Some more so than others. I don’t think it’s entirely out of the realm of possibility to fall in love with someone you meet from here, however to base that strictly on a person’s posts would be odd. I think that if people did email and speak to each other because of a post that the chances are as likely as if they had met in person. Some of the best lovers start off as friends. * * * Just add water, it makes it’s own sauce! ---

Frankie, Actually for me, I don’t always prefer ICQ. Depends upon how busy I am, etc. The problem I have is sometimes it seems that conversations go on about a week or two with someone, then if they fade away, there I have them on my ICQ. I always like to start out in email and then go from there. trisha ---
