The mechanic tried to job me and I called him on it!

Oh hell, this is stupid.

Handy, excuse me for the bad month I’ve been having, and for taking it out on you.

Coldfire, untwist 'em, I’ve mellowed.

The rest of you: Maintain your cars properly.

I’m glad you decided not to fall on your sword, dear hecubus. I know you hate to prostrate yourself, but it was the smart thing to do. It’s not often people are willing to admit to being jerky. I’m glad you did.

I thought guys weren’t supposed to prostrate themselves cuz you can get cancer or something…

If this were a medical condition, wouldn’t you just get a second opinion? I don’t mind challenging the opinions of other “Techs” as we are often called. MPTCW would be to suggest that a hose if it is old enough to crack and, therefore leak, should have been spotted at the time of the first repair. I should also point out that there is a few hundred pounds of pressure in power steering pressure hoses. As opposed to 14 or 16 in an ordinary radiator hose in normal useage. I really dislike the reputation of the average “Joe” in my profession but, it sounds as though this one just got careless. You really should have paid him for the extra part he had to install. But, since you apparently didn’t have to then, I really begin to wonder just how much was “padded in” to this job.

In the meantime, have you not noticed the absence of ignatiusjreilly?

He’s dead on the road somewhere, I bet.
I suspect foul play…
