Unfortuantely with rapidly changing technology and a globaly fragile economy, things like that happen. Tech stocks are paticularly fragile (just ask my stock broker - and my portfolio is a prime example sine it is worth a bout 1/4 what it was about 4 years ago) I’m not sure what to offer, to accomplish your goal and stay marketable. But perhaps working for a Bristish based company could be a plus. Could it help you get your foot in the door of other British based companies? Unfortuantely I think the cost of living is pretty high in the UK (not compltely sure but I’m betting some UK dopers could elaborate here) and that is going to affect your move unless a company is willing to pay your moving expenses…pretty glum huh? ---

[didnt we do this already?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=196391) but for the record [my post from that thread] female 18 location: lansdale, PA…yeah, you probably haven’t heard of it, it’s another one of those insignificant little suburbs outside of Philly. occupation: full time student; lifeguard, depending on pool-availability 127 lbs, 5’ 3", bobbed unnaturally red hair (so sue me), blue/green eyes (depending…they do change) Me: outgoing, very affectionate, loud…oh bother, i dont know… oh, i will say one thing though - though i’m not a vegetarian, i am quite the tree hugger. currently: a freshman, commuting to university in my area likes: old movies (1930-1960), foreign films, boho/hippie fashions, trees, writing, reading, ee cummings, art (creating and admiring), swing dancing (i havent taken lessons…lets just say i learn by watching), drum corps, Queer Eye, Classic Rock (Hendrix, Boston, etc), Pink Floyd, Joni Mitchell, ska, alternative rock, the beach, mountains, walking barefoot…look, i’m easy to please, okay? dislikes: smoking, closed minds with open mouths, alcohol (personally - can’t stand the stuff…others? drink if you like, i just won’t drive you home at night) looking for: well…i wasn’t really looking…i just felt like sharing =D but if i sound interesting (?es possible?), go right ahead…it’s not like any of you are in my area anyway ---

I am English and have worked in Norway for almost 2 years but the corporate big bosses decided I was getting settled there with friends and a life so they decided to ship me off elsewhere. I am back at my parents in the UK waiting for my US working visa which arrived a couple of days ago. So another few days vacation and next week I am jetting off to live in Wyoming. What the hell. The guy I have my eye on doesn’t seem to be biting. Heeeere, fishy, fishy, fishy! Age: 20 1/2 (physically), 45 (mentally), 15 (emotionally).
