First! It’s good to be juvenile! 😃 Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 83 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. Pretty much the same thing all week accordin’ to TWPTB. OYKW is still abed and I have just arisen. Gonna be a lazy day here at da cave I forsee. We shall sup upon pot roast bein’ as I pulled a roast outta da freezer last night. Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day. Rah. Good morning everyone. It’s 77 here in N Texas - mid 90’s by this afternoon. This is a bummer because I just drove back from Colorado where I was camping in 45-65 temps all week. It is nice to have oxygen though. Some areas of CO seem to have a shortage of it. I’m off today but still on the fence about going out on the lake. Not sure I’m up to the crowds anymore. Still enjoy the scenery though. ---

Third! Why am I up so early on a holiday? It was 95 yesterday in no. Illinois. It was hotter than Phoenix. WTF? Same for today. I wish I could visit swampy and cool off in the cee-ment pond. Today is more of the same. I have no plans except to finish packing. We leave for Scotland on Thorsday. And visit Ariel to hose her down. Even horses get sweaty in this weather. I et too much as my sister’s yesterday. ---

You wanna give \*\*swampy \*\*a case of the vapors?? OF COURSE we need coasters!!! \*\*FCD \*\*and I breakfasted at Cracker Barrel, ran to WalMart for a few items, then I stopped to gas up my car. I just put 2 racks of ribs in the oven at 230° - neither daughter nor SIL like smoked ribs and I can’t get to my smoker anyway due to all the crap in the garage. So slow-cooked in the oven it shall be. I’ll be breaking out my sewing machine today - my 2 new pairs of khakis are way too long - I may need to hack almost 2" off them! I’m also going to remove the litter box and all other cat stuff from the bedroom - Ziva has been blocked out of there and she’s surviving. Cleo isn’t happy, but she’s a brat anyway. I’ve got a few other boring chores, but no biggies for today. So semi-chillage. Happy Moanday! ---

Morning all. Rested but need to clean up and get presentable here in a little bit. Nothing much planned. my family’s cemetery plots are 800 miles away, may get to visit them in August. The VFW usually puts a flag there, as my dad served in WWII. 76F now with some rain predicted today and a 100% Guaranteed!! chance of rain tomorrow. Heading for Charlotte, NC this Firday to referee in a AYSO tournament. First trip from here to there, been plotting routes but haven’t made a final decision. Staying the weekend and driving back Moanday. More later. ---

Hi all. I got up way too late today because I initially got up at 4 or 4:30 AM and couldn’t get back to sleep for a while. And I’d been missing sleep lately because I stayed up late after a concert and then got up early, the previous night. My concert went well. I had an alto clarinet solo. 🙂 ---

I hate Monday holidays, because I have to come to work Monday through Friday, without exception. _Very_ occasionally Christmas and Independence Day fall on the weekend, and New Year’s Day has to fall on a Saturday to be fully appreciated, but I haven’t gotten to enjoy a Monday holiday three-day weekend in over a decade and a half, and getting time and a 1/2 just isn’t the salve it used to be. The company even has a policy that we cannot ask for vacation time during such holidays. ---

The house is smelling ribby-licious! I’ve got one rack with Sonny’s Sweet BBQ sauce on it and one with my go-to rub. Tonight’s supper will be mega-yum! I’ll bake some russets and figure out some vegetable matter on the side. It smells so good, I’m thinking we’ll have an early dinner. I’m trying to teach my daughter how QuickBooks works. I have zero accounting education and I don’t entirely understand all the terminology. But I’ve shown her how to create invoices and mark them paid, and after she’s fed the babbeh, I’ll show her how to enter purchases. I hope it all makes more sense to her than it does to me. SIL is learning how to get hurt in a machine shop - he’s drawn blood already. Between him and **FCD** , I’ll be amazed if we’re not dialing 9-1-1 one of these days. ---

The dogs got me up earlier than planned. Once up, I decided to stay up. I may regret that decision. Today I’ll be picking up a grocery order and doing laundry. We might watch a movie and go get ice cream. I want a grill and this should be a good weekend to get one. I just want impossible things, so I think I’ll have to order one. ☹ ---

Howdy Y’all! Trust me y’all woud not be havin’ fun at the cee-mint pond today. Really rainy out. We et a late N.O.L./early sup of pot roast, carrots, N.O.T., baby lima beans, and corn bread. YUM! Any further feedin’ will be done via forage. **GMOOOOOOM** I will allow the non use of coasters at the cee-mint pond as cozies are used. Same goes for the back porch. The rules get relaxed in the recreational areas. ---
