Right but vick only signed a 2 year deal. McNabb isn’t going away that soon, and he did play all 16 last year. ---

Jaws is being an idiot on MNF. Vick is a backup, pure and simple. There isn’t a team in the NFL that would even put Vick in a competition for the #1 job let alone give him a chance to take an established starters job. McNabb knows damned well that Vick has been out of football for a long time and when Vick get’s on the field, IN WEEK 5, that it’ll be as a 3rd string developmental QB at best. McNabb won’t see this as any kind of slight. He’s not an idiot. When McNabb’s contract is up, if Vick worked himself back to where he once was, then there’ll be reason to talk. Now it’s pure media created fake drama. ---

Vick’s contract includes a $5.2 million option for year 2. If the Eagles decide to exercise that option after this season, that’s an awful lot of money for a backup QB. ---

i’m starting to get over the shock of what is happening in my town a bit. thankfully i’m a dolfan and don’t really pay much attention to the eagles unless something hit the news. leading theory that was discussed in work yest. was that there maybe an annoucement that running back injuries are going to put him into that slot.
