We do seem to have some issue with my desktop’s RAM. DH is working on pinning down the offending module. Rewashed load smelled fine after its second wash and has been duly dried. “Clothes for tomorrow” load is now in the dryer (so THERE, Swampy!). 🙂 I think I’m going to at least attempt sleep. This has been a challenge for me for a few days now, so we’ll see how it goes. ---

I don’t remember who it was, or how qualified they were, and I never remember to check or to buy a ticket. But my excuse is in place if I ever need it. Now buying a second ticket would just be stupid because it won’t increase your odds of winning by any noticable margin. ---

As an EMT, I’ve been dispatched to “we haven’t seen Aunt \_\_\_ or our elderly neighbor if awhile & they’re not answering the phone/door” so this isn’t too surprising. However, I’m wondering why someone would heat cat piss? 😕 ---

Heated cat urine: cat had “anointed” an electric stove burner. This went undiscovered until said burner was turned on for use. Week-dead human body: upstairs neighbor had not been seen for a week or more, discovered to be deceased (apparent heart attack while sleeping). Guy was such a quiet and reclusive neighbor anyway that it wasn’t unusual to not see him for extended periods. Honest, I’m not THAT weird. 😃 ---

Okay, the light just burned out in this room. But I’m glad. I had been noticing this flashing effect out of the corner of my eye for the last few minutes and I was starting to get worried I was about to have a stroke or something. ---

Not wishing to be picky, but shouldn’t that be the world record for the "largest number of people _pretending to be_ pirates? 🙂 It is cold, wet and grim over here today. Thus I am cold. Currently not wet or grim but that could be because I haven’t ventured outside since I got here. There are students all over the place, why on earth would I want to be out there? ---

Blurf. The good news is that it’s Thursday, and tomorrow I have half a day of work, followed by mandatory company fun and a weekend trip with friends. The bad news is that it’s Thursday, and none of the fun starts until after I work a full day, go to PT, and finish packing. Roomie’s grandpa passed away yesterday, so things were kind of subdued at the Bell Tower last night. She’s mad at herself for not going to see him this past weekend, but she was fighting a cold, and he was very weak–she didn’t want to get him sick. She’s kicking herself, but I think intellectually she knows she made the right decision at the time. Apparently, Grandpa had a doctor’s appointment on Monday or Tuesday, and the doctor told Roomie’s dad and grandma “He probably won’t make it until Christmas, but he’s not going to die in the next few days.” We think Grandpa overheard and said “Pah. I’ll show that doctor, nobody tells me what to do!” Because he was that kind of guy. ---

Happy Thorsday! If I knew how to talk like a pirate I would but I can’t so I won’t embarrass myself by tryingAAAAAAARRRRRRR It’s a sunny 47 degrees with a projected high of 75. I got a good nights sleep last night except for the thundering herd waking me at 4am. I was able to sneak past Sah-dog though and got back in bed and fell asleep right away. He went out at 1am so he was good for the night. He is so funny, he drags his bed all over my room but no matter what he keeps it between me and the door so I have a horrible time sneaking past him. So today is irk and irk some more. I may have some pet sitting this weekend, the woman next door is having some emergency dental work done and I may have to fill in depending on how she feels.
