Good morning all! happy happy! I’ve got tickets to the game tonight, it’s the last day of an incredibly crappy month workwise, and I’m looking forward to February. I went to a new Mexican place last night, and I swear to Og, 4 people could have shared the plate of fajitas I got. And that was the fajitas for one! Of course they only brought 2 tortillas. :rolleyes: 😛 I’ll be eating fajita leftovers for 3 more days! And it was only $9.50. :eek: (My treat for being smoke free for a whole month! Yay me!) ::waves::: ---

I bring cereal and milk in two tupperware containers to work. I recently bought a box of organic oat flakes and that was on the menu today. I poured the milk into the cereal and started up the Dope and took a few bites. Morning, all. I’m actually feeling semi-human this morning, for a _very_ welcome change. Which means, of course, that I need to glue myself to the grindstone and work, work, work. Sometimes it sucks being a grownup. When you’re a kid and you’re sick, you lie in bed and people wait on you and bring you tasty treats and spoil you. When you grow up, you not only have to take care of yourself but the second you start feeling human it’s back to the treadmill. :rolleyes: (Not the one with the plane on it.) But I’m happy to report that the new mattress is VERY comfortable. 😃 Speaking of treadmills, _Spaz_, Discovery reruns shows endlessly; if you keep your eyes peeled, you should have no problem catching last night’s episode in a rerun. About sixty million times. **LiLi** , Gnat just gets more adorable every day! And wait till he smiles and coos at you – the first couple months of just staring at your baby in adoration are amazing, but it just gets better after that, especially when they start interacting with you. You just feel like the most important human on the face of the _earth_. There’s really no feeling like it. Which is a good thing, because it’s the memory of those wonderful moments that keeps you from smiting your darling offspring at other, less adorable moments. 😃 I took the Jeopardy! test back when it was an in-studio test, **Rebo**. I was living in Lalaland at the time, so I could drive across town and take it. You were only allowed to take it once every six months, and I failed miserably my first time, too. But it was a pencil-and-paper test – they just had a monitor playing a tape which would show the category on the top and the answer on the bottom of the screen and Alex in a voiceover reading it, and you had 15 seconds but the time didn’t start till Alex finished reading the answer. So in a big difference between the test then and the online test now, when I went back to take the test a second time, I could write my answers down as quickly as possible, and if it was something I didn’t know but might remember before the testing time was completely over, I could make a quick note in the margin – “steel plow” – and I had a chance to go back and fill in the answer. I think that ability to go back allowed me to fill in the couple of answers I needed to pass. I gather you can’t go back on the online test. ☹ Anyway, so much for Jeopardy! reminiscences from the Dark Ages, back before mikes were clip-ons and when female contestants still weren’t allowed to wear pants on the show (yes, skirts were mandatory – why, since we were standing behind a podium, I have NO idea). Yes, I’m old. But hey, I was on during the show’s big Tenth! Anniversary! Season!, so what do you want? I should get to work. ☹ I much preferred having an excuse to lie around and do nothing for days on end! I am SUCH a lazy person by default. Sigh. ---

I love the soap song, **Pugs**. Speaking of children’s songs, I always got a kick out of the “I’m a Little Teapot” version that goes like this: (starts off both hands on hips) _I’m a little teapot Short and stout! Here is my handle Here is my … here is my … here is my …_ (look puzzled as both hands remain on hips) _Hm. Awwwwwwwwwww! Gnat is soooo cute! I was going to go out today and hang at the grooming shop with the dogs. But when I woke up it was snowing, and it’s supposed to keep going pretty much all day and all night. Six to thirteen inches is their guess as what we’re going to get, but I have a feeling we’ll be at the high end if it keeps up like this. This is our second big snowfall in a week! I don’t really want to go out and get stuck somewhere and I don’t feel like trying to take the bus, so I think the dogs will have to wait. The Boise news is _freaking out_ over the weather there. I find their freakouts over snow amusing. I mean, it does this, like, _every winter_. And yes, I’m remote enough that almost all of our TV channels come from there, three hours away. Aha! I do come by my lazy streak naturally! ---

Landlord in Iraq, we obviously don’t want to leave him in the lurch, either. So we shall have to see. At least with Papa Tigs working for the government now, there’s less chance of a sudden and unexpected move like used to happen with painful frequency when he was a contractor. I’m feeling better, but still not 100% – I think it’ll take a few days for my body to readjust to the med. I’ve got a phone call in to the doctor about how to taper off about 1/4 as fast as I did – I don’t mind putting up with a few side effects from going off a med, but this was just _ridiculous_. I’ve already felt enough better that I’ve gotten more work done thus far today than I did in the last ten days put together, and I haven’t even been working all that hard. ☹ At this point I don’t know if how I felt was totally side effects from going off the med, or partly that and partly just a resumption of my general aches and pains that the med is supposed to help. Stoopid aches and pains. ☹ ---
