**beebs** , you put me at town hall! This is really cool. I don’t want to post an address in here even though it isn’t mine and it’s not where I work either, but if you want to put me in a location that more accurately reflects where I want to be, just google the RBC Center and put me there. 😃 ETA: The address for the RBC Center is slightly wrong on google earth. Scroll up and to the right, and it’s the big oval building with lots of parking. 😛 ---

I just got around to checking the map, and it looks like its got me in the middle of Chapel Hill; I’m actually about two miles northeast of there, where 15/501 and Sage Road cross. If you see a Borders, that’s close enough. It is convenient having a bookstore within walking distance. Not good for my budget, but them’s the breaks. 😃 ---

A Dopefest at Franklin’s sounds fun. I’m definitely up for it, too. That sounds like a fun place for a get-together. What are you guys thinking of, lunch or dinner some weekend? Well, apparently I simply _cannot_ shake Teh Sick. I tried to stay up and get some work done, but gave up and crawled in bed and crashed completely about midafternoon. Papa Tigs woke me up when he called to tell me he’d escaped the workplace, and I’ve managed to crawl out of bed again, but I suspect it’s going to be where I will return to in the very near future. I am getting really, really tired of feeling like pure sh\*\*! Will someone please make Teh Sick go away? At least Papa Tigs is spoiling me by getting my favorite pizza for din-din. 😃 Once I got over the nausea part, my appetite has returned in spite of how ghastly I feel. I must say it’s easier being sick when at least you can eat. And I’ve eaten very healthy today – I had a mango for my midafternoon snack. Pop the [mango slider](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=blended&field-keywords=mango%20slicer&results-process=default&dispatch=search/ref=pd_sl_aw_tops-1_blended_10478675_2&results-process=default) through it and then scoop it out of the skin like a melon. I absolutely _adore_ mango, but until Papa Tigs got me the mango slicer it was just too darn much trouble. Now I can deal with it even when I’ve got zero energy because of Teh Stupid Sick! And speaking of Papa Tigs, he sent me a link to a lovely inspirational story about [one of the patients at his hospital](http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/2008/01/22/2008-01-22_lieutenant_colonel_greg_gadson_is_giants.html). I’ve got to admit I’m not a football fan, but it still left me with a tear in my eye. \ Off to eat pizza and die. ---

And when I’m down there in April, I’m going to get to see it inside. We walked around the outside when we were visiting in December, and it looks like a nice place. We went to El Cerro Grande for supper - I got a shrimp quesadilla - yum. From the menu, it looks like there are several other dishes I’d probably like, so we’ll be going back. Which makes my sweetie happy. And that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? 😃 Incidentally, my map mark is close enough without giving my address away. So yay! ---

My map mark is a bit further north than where I live, but close enough as well. Olive is sitting next to me and looking too cute for words. But cuteness will not feed me dinner, unfortunately. ---

The director of Special Collections came by and congratulated me on my work on the Big-Ass Literary Collection that’s going into exhibit mode soon. Last Friday the head of Reference congratulated me on getting a medium-ass project done. I am all about gettin’ stuff done here at la biblioteca. 🆒 I’m in the G’ville country club? Ahahahahaha! Cool, **beebs** put me just a few blocks from where I work, right near where they have festivals in the summer. Sat right near there a couple times last year and had lunch. Outstanding placement. **Sean** , on the other hand, looks somewhat uncomfortable. And **LOUNE** is in an interesting location as well. Hee. I wanna have a Dopefest here. But at the moment, I don’t actually have time to think about much extra, even in the way of socializing. Maybe in the summer… Sorry you’re feeling so poorly, **MamaT**. Yay on the new software, **Hank**! That’s the only thing that I regret about not teaching any more. It would be fun to get to use some of the toys available today to keep track of grades. I think I used Excel for the last couple of classes I taught, but there’s so much more available these days. (Yes…I’m a geek too.) Did I mention I dreamt the other day that I was back in grad school again? It’s been almost 20 years and still I’m dreaming about it. :rolleyes: I’m tired too…work is getting really stressful again. It kind of snuck up on me again this week. Need to work on managing that. (I’m starting to think I need to look for a new job, also, but there’s a distinct lack of opportunities in my pay range in the public sector right now.) Guess I should find some dinner. The children are in bed. The dishes are done. Laundry is a spinnin’. I’m self medicating with chocolate. Did I mention the children are in bed? It’s a sorry ass thing, but I love Mr. Goodbar. **TagFree** , I’m right there with you on the Sixlets! I’m back home now, although, I probably didn’t mention that I was in TVLand before. Tomorrow my mom is having yet another surgery on her left foot. This time they are removing all of the miscellaneous hardware that was implanted previously. Basically, she’s been in pain for the past 5 or so years. Hopefully, this new doctor and new surgery will have better results. ---
