Happy Thursday, all! I have an actual job interview set up for tomorrow morning with a major insurance company. So I go from one evil empire to another, but this one comes with a real paycheck and benefits, and did I mention benefits? And I don’t have to deal with assholes on the phone all day, which is the second-best part, after the benefits. Good thoughts, prayers, crossed fingers, etc. are welcome. (((((Sah))))) It sucks, I know, but at least you found out about it before and not after. ---

**(((((Sari)))))** Feel better soon, sickies! Good luck with the interviews, **Rockin** and **Sticky** - my interview strategy hasn’t worked very well so far either, I have given up applying for jobs for a while, I’m just sticking with the agency work while it’s around. My pub friends are off on a trip tomorrow so I have keys for the house and will be skipping over there to feed the cat and the ferrets in their absence. Luckily the ferrets have a large bowl that it would take them a week to empty, and the cat has an automated feeder that contains enough food for three days so I only need to go over there a couple of times while they’re away. Not much else going on, I have an appointment with the nurse at my doc’s surgery next week for holiday jabs, apparently I need a couple of them to brave the wilds of Mexico. I don’t suppose they have developed anything to prevent mozzie bites yet. Ho hum. ---

\*\*FCD \*\*is up, and we’re both showered, dressed, and breakfasting. I need to move some forsythia, move some dirt, put down some grass seed, and run the sprinkler. Some time today, I need to run to the credit union - we sold our inflatable dinghy yesterday and I need to get the cash deposited. I also pulled a couple of poke chops out to thaw, so dinner is decided. The rest of the day is up for grabs! ---

I am without adult supervision for two whole days. What shall I do! 😃 **Rockin’ and StickyBuns** appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the job interviews. Waaaaaaaaaaay back in ye olde high school days, it was the thing to get to sign someone’s year book on the page where the local funeral home(s) advertised. We were real wits with such prose as “you stab 'em we slab 'em,” “die now pay later,” and “try our layaway plan.” Comedy gold! ---

{{\*\*Sari/B]}} Looks like I’m in for an… umm… interesting weekend. I’m securitatin’ at a festival from tomorrow through Sunday. This means camping with my irkmates for two days. At least I’m bringing my car, the rest are going on the minibus, so I don’t have to go down there and back with 'em too. This also means missing the last rugby match, which I did want to do, but several days at a festival should mean quite a bit more money than one day’s rugby. I’m gonna need the money too- I put in an application today to keep bees at the allotment 😃 They need to ask the people on the neighbouring plots if they have any objections first, but I already asked 'em all, and they all said it were fine (or were planning on getting some too), plus the last from the council said they’d only had one objection in the 6 years they’ve been doing this. I just need the beekeeping club to sort some stuff out (they don’t appear to have processed this years membership properly, and I need to be a member for the council to be happy) and I could potentially get a few thousand new pets in a couple of weeks! Anyways, I need to finish digging out my camping gear, and bottle my damson gin (not that I’m bringing it with me, I just want it ready for next week). ---

**Nuts** have you begun to think about names for your new pets? 😃 **doggio** come party! Well, I do have irk but other than that I am unsupervised. Heck, I’m pretty much unsupervised at irk, come to think of it. OYKW has made it to the wilds of west Alabammy. Personally I think he got there a little _too_ soon. :dubious: Methinks he had a right foot made of lead on his way over. Actually there’s this stretch of US HWY 80 out of Monkey Town where the 65 MPH sign is more of a suggestion than a speed limit sign. My biggest decision to make today is whether to stop for a burger on the way to da cave or make a sammich for dindin. Though I could get pizza. Or BBQ. Or chikin. How can I possibly think about irk when decisions of such magnitude must be made! ---

Forsythia are transplanted, bare earth has been limed and seeded for fescue, and I’ve got the sprinkler giving it all a drink. I’ll need to do some mulching, but I’m hot and tired and I’ve quit, at least for a while. We’ll see if I feel like going out and getting all sweaty later. ---
