Good morning everyone. I think they new people next door to the office are running a chop shop. Or are storing cars for Sailors that are on deployment. Either way, there are _a lot_ of cars parked inside their fence the last couple of weeks. ---

In the category of “How World Events Influence Spam”, I present a case study. Besides the typical Viagra, or re-finance your home, or catch your spouse cheating, or cheat on your spouse e-mails that pop up in my spam regularly, I often get solicitations from various people thinking I need a foreign bride. (Thanks, got a native one, and she doesn’t seem like she’d play the sister wife role all too willingly) Just in the last month or so, strictly in the eastern European segment though, I’ve noticed a reduction in RUSSIAN women dying to meet me, and an uptick in the number of women identifying as being from Ukraine. What a nasty foreign led civil uprising won’t do to make the gorgeous women in a country yearn for a balding 50 something American man, huh? ---

Someone broke in last night; not a burglar but a vandal! Most of the house if fine, but they left _lots_ of dirty clothes in the hamper. :mad: I almost crashed the car driving past the auto body place this morning. There was a blond in a neon pink tank top waving a sign around that said “Check Out My Tints”. Turns out it was a mannequin with a motor sticking out of her belly button that made the sign go round & round. It was hilarity; they definitely win creativity points. ---

Happy Firday! It’s a cloudy 60 degrees with a projected high of 78. My mother is going back to her bf’s house this morning. He starts his chemo on Toosday. The HFH come back tomorrow, oh joy and happiness. I’ll do a load of laundry today while I can. I also have another grocery order coming today. Forgot to say earlier, appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed for FairyChatDaughter. I feel sorta ick. I’ve been blamin’ it on allergies, but I’m thinkin’ I might have a little fever and I’m kindy achy. Hope it ain’t teh sick. Maybe I should go to convenient care just to make sure. I’m supposed to head up to Ye Olde Hometowne tomorrow mornin’ but if it’s sump’n potentially contagious I don’t want to spread it around. Guess it might be worth checkin’ out. **{{{lieu}}}**!!! You’ve been missed!! You have been away a while, right? 😉 \*\*flytrap \*\*- his folks are 84 and 83 - I don’t think it’s surprising that they’ve both got health issues. What’s unfortunate is that he’s the only son able to help them out, and he lives the farthest away. Nearest bro is mildly handicapped, and next nearest bro is dealing with the aftermath of a heart attack and a pending back surgery. So my sweetie gets to do the honors. We’re back from a quick trip to Lowe’s and to get lunch. \*\*FCD \*\*is napping, and I’d like to do the same, but then I won’t be able to sleep tonight. We got all the mowing done and I did a bunch of weeding. He attempted to get the weed whacker and blower working - both are dead. So he swept off the back deck. I also did some pruning of azaleas and forsythia. There’s some poison ivy out there that needs killin’ - I think it’ll get done tomorrow. I’s too tahred right now. ---

Blurf. I don’t think I got the job. By the time the interviewer was done, he seemed less than enthusiastic. I’ll be marginally disappointed if I don’t get it, but surprised if I do. I did, however, miss the sprog’s presentation at school because, for whatever reason, I had it in as 10:30, not 10:00. ☹ He was very disappointed, so I owe him ice cream. _sigh_ ---

**Rockin’** it happens sometimes. Throw in a couple cookies with the ice cream and all will be forgiven. Or is it just me that can be bought off that easy? So, I went to convenient care and saw a doc. Low grade fever, malaise, a mild rash on my lower right back that’s tingly and sensitive but nor real hurty yet = a mild case of shingles. SHEESH! On the up side, I saw the rash this mornin’ for the first time so it’s all really just startin’. I have some antiviral meds and was told to use calamine lotion on the rash (really more like six little bumps) to help with itchiness that might occur. She offered to write me a ‘script for pain meds but even though shingles can be very painful I’m not all hurty like so I said no. She suggested Extra Strength Tylenol [sup]TM[/sup] for any pain. That I have on hand. She also suggested usin’ some oatmeal bath stuff as that seems to help with any itchyness. BTW, I’d forgotten how disgustin’ calamine lotion looks. ICK! Anywho, I’ve called my mother to tell her and needless to say, I will not travel up to Ye Olde Hometowne. Somehow I don’t think I should run the risk of it gettin’ worse by sittin’ and drivin’ for two and a half hours and bein’ out and about a whole lot. Oh, and howdy from da cave.
