Evenin’ Nice babies, fishies and new jobs everyone! Been running round like headless poultry this week, and have only just got around to reading the MMP on thursday. Shockin’. The reason for said runnin’ around is I’m going on a camping trip on saturday 😃 , and have suddenly realised this means I need to get Organised. My housemate’s coming camping too, so I’ve been finding crittersitters, sortin’ out the plants trying to find useful tent out of the three I own and generally Doing Useful Things. This has not been aided by the weather suddenly turning from ‘bleedin’ eck, call this May do ya, put another jumper on’ to ‘aAaaAAAaaahhhh I’m melting…’ virtually overnight. Thus I was forced _forced_ I tell you, to take a day out at the beach eatin’ ice cream yesterday. One more day of mad doing everything, and I get to lounge round in the sun in a field full of buttercups until next thursday… ahhh… bliss. ps. Snakes is awesome: I would have hugged it and knitted it little hats and called it George. Poor Mr. Snakey. ---

\*\*YAY, Soapy!! YAY! Spaz!!\*\* I’ve been playing around on the Royal Caribbean website and if \*\*FCD \*\*can get the time off, we’ll be cruising from Aug 23-31!! And including all tips, insurance, and non-souvenir money, it’ll be under $1900!! That is a cheap vacation, when you consider we’ll be fed and have a place to stay and won’t have to do a bloody thing the whole time!!! 😃 OK, if we do go, we’ll be booking another sailing adventure in Newport, and I will try my best not to be a wuss about it. Other than that, just another glorious day in paradise. 😃 ---

And of course, because I can’t be happy about anything, I’m now worrying about money moving in. Turning on the power and such. I’m going to be living pretty close to the bone for a couple of months until things straighten out. Of course, I won’t have to spend as much money on gas, I’ll have a power bill but not an internet bill like I do now, and my food won’t be eaten without anyone asking me. June’s going to be financially tight, though. Deep breaths, it won’t be that bad. I can make it. I’m cheap. 😉 ---

Except, it already came in a month ago. :smack: Things will be more clear tomorrow. I found out I do have to pay a deposit equal to the first month’s rent. I’m not sure if I can afford that next month. That’s an extra $500 that I wasn’t counting on because he didn’t mention a deposit until today. And I have bills and now I’m second guessing whether I can afford this. Maybe I can work out a payment plan with him on that? I don’t know. Panic panic panic. I wish he had mentioned the deposit or that I had asked about it because I’ll have to pay a deposit to have the power turned on and I can’t ask my dad for any more money since I had to have him bail me out of the last apartment I couldn’t afford thanks to Culinary Boy’s issues. Oh God, maybe I don’t have this apartment after all. ---

I’m going to have about 320 at the end of the bills for the month, not including buying groceries, etc. I’m not sure at all now. It sounded good, but then the deposit blindsided me. He never mentioned that in the ad or when I talked to him until just today. I’m meeting with him tomorrow and I’ll ask him about it then. I may not have the apartment after that, which sucks. I just replied to a bunch of Craigslist ads. If I don’t hear anything back by Monday, I’m calling the efficiency apartments by the interstate. I can walk to work from there in addition to saving up a buttload of money by not having to pay for utilities, etc. I will have extra bills to pay in June and possibly July because I still haven’t changed my cell phone plan. Extra $50 in cancellation fees if I do. ☹ ---

**Spaz** I didn’t yay the apartment because it posted whilst I was makin’ my last post so I didn’t see it. I shall, therefore, withhold my yay until you get stuff worked out. I will, however, cross appropriate/inappropriate appendages for ya. Burly Butcher Bacon Cheeseburgers, fries and ice cold beer for dindin. I went to the sto and got some fresh ground beast and some burly butcher bacon. I had me a gnawin’ and a cravin’. OYKW didn’t seem to mind either. 😃 ---

First of all… CONGRATULATIONS SOAPY!!! and tentative CONGRATULATIONS SPAZ!!! Those poor people in the manure pond! ☹ So, first day of work was from 12-6. I learned how to enter some common exam items into records and how to produce bills and process payments. Around 3:30 I was finally confident enough to answer the phone and even answered it 5 or 6 more times after that! I did the Friday appointment reminder phone calls too. I also made one appointment (which was a totally fubar phone call because I thought she said she was picking up the dog - meaning a new dog - on Wednesday at 9:15. What she really said was that she was bringing the dog in to us on Wednesday at 9:15. I spent 10 minutes trying to find her an appointment that didn’t conflict with her pick up at 9:15 before we both figured out what the other was trying to say. Then I scheduled her cat in the open 9:00 slot and everyone was happy. She probably thinks I’m completely mental.) We had one euthanasia today and it was a very sad case of a customer who can’t afford to provide preventative care to his pets so the dog’s medical problems escalated, untreated, until he was finally put to sleep. So, this made me very sad. But, on the flip side, the doc called me in and gave me a quick lesson on what was wrong with the dog, gave a comparison of the severely diseased body part and the not so seriously diseased counterpart body part. She also showed me the extent of bad canine dental care. It was so interesting! I also learned about feline AIDS today (which I didn’t even know existed since I don’t own a cat). Unfortunately this learning experience came about because a patient was diagnosed with it. Her owner was heartbroken. I learned a lot about vaccines and ticks too. I had a really good day and I learned a lot. I’m really nervous about tomorrow though because the other desk girl wont be there and I’ll be mostly alone unless the vet tech has time to help me out. :eek::eek::eek: ---

Okay, so I just got up after trying to sleep to work out my budget considering the fact that I actually do have money in my account. I was doing a straight “this is what I make per month” budget. I think it’ll work now that I did the math. I emailed myself the spreadsheet I was working on just to make sure, but I think I can do this. Stupid brain. As soon as I get settled and get my money straightened out, I’m getting a primary care physician and a referral to a psychologist. I’m sick of this depression making me second-guess myself all the time. ---
