That chair seems rather elaborate for the proceedings. However, it was Victorian times and fancy-prancy was the order of the day, in both decorations and Urges Which Must Not Be Mentioned in Front of the Ladies. I have drunk almost 2 liters of tea today. :eek: I’m getting a mild headache. Must get a smaller teapot. ---

And…I’m an aunt (kinda), again. Local Best Friend had her baby: boy, 19 inches, 8 lbs, 9 oz; no epidural (things went too fast). Presumably keeeyute; haven’t seen him yet. Most important part: everyone’s doing well. Yay! ---

Happy almost Tuesday everybody! 🙂 I got someone in my house with this old chestnut this morning: “Guess what?! Chicken butt!” but only because they forgot that it was April Fool’s day. LOL I tried it on my daughter but she wouldn’t have any part of it. Oh well, that’s about as far as I go for April Fool’s day. A facebook friend got me - she put up that she was engaged … with the wedding to happen on February 30th. LOL Yeah, that got me, believe it or not!! In other news, I am entirely too warm - ye gods, hot flashes. ☹ Been there, done with that, long done with that, so why again?! Gah! The temps are supposed to drop 10-20 degrees for the next couple of days and ya know what, I am welcoming that drop, for now that is. I cannot believe that it’s been nearly two years since I moved to ABQ. I do like it here, but my gosh there are times when I wish I was back on the east coast. Oh well, maybe next year, maybe never back there. Who knows! Happy Tuesday all! ---

Blurf. I think I’ve figured that chair out. It’s pretty pedestrian, but it was Victorian Times and the fact that Bertie was going to a bordello was :eek:shocking!:eek: enough for his parents. Don’t forget, Prince Albert went into the can because he caught a chill lecturing his son about his Lady Friends. Or so the legend goes. ---

Today turned into a sleep-in day - partly because I woke up a couple of times during the night for necessaries. Then I was having this bizarro dream where I was buds with Brad Pitt - we were like _this_!!! (imagine fingers held tightly together) 😃 Why Brad Pitt, I have no idea - I mean, he’s no Harrison Ford! But, boy, was he into me! 😉 That dream morphed into one where my sweetie and I were going to a new fancy-pants prix-fixe restaurant that was set up in a school gymnasium. Classy, right? We were never given menus and no one ever showed up to take our order, and we didn’t know what the prix was fixed at! The chef came out and he was wearing the menu on his head, and I wanted to grab it, but I wasn’t sure that was proper etiquette. Then I woke up. As a result of the dreams and stuff, \*\*FCD \*\*was late leaving for work - I felt bad because I know he wanted to sleep in. Of course, if he didn’t stay up every night watching Sons of Anarchy on Netflix, he’d get a little more sleep… It’s going to be chilly today, so I plan to spend some hours in my studio. Our yard-workers are supposed to come today, and I need to show them what we want done. Beyond that, who knows? I could get motivated and, I dunno - wash the kitchen floor? Yeah, I could do that. I could. 😛 And I’m pretty sure I don’t want to visualize how that chair is used. Honest-to-goodness, I don’t want or need to know about other people’s sex lives. As long as it involves consenting adults out of the public eye, it’s no one else’s business. The key words, of course, are _consenting adults_. Still just semi-caffeinated, so that’s about all I can manage for now. Happy Tuesday!! ---

Morning all, Apparently last night was celebrity BFF dream night as mine was Oprah. She was going to help me figure out who my biological parents were and then take me on a shopping spree afterwards. Alas, neither came true upon being rudely awoken by the alarm/Mr. Jynx. There is going to be much blurfage today. Yesterday was NOT a good day at work and I blame my co-irker, my boss and me, in that order (but mostly my co-irker and boss). Repeat after me…“I need my job, I need my job, I need my job”. Blergh. ---

I did not sleep well last night, so I had a bit of a lie-in today. I’m off work all week so have nothing much planned - I eventually made myself presentable and went to look at the great outdoors. I had to go into town and pick up a couple of things, which got me out of the house to enjoy the sun. Yes, it is sunny out there but the wind is still bitter. After my adventures in town, I headed home to make lunch and put some laundry on. I have enough for two loads now, probably should have done one at the weekend but couldn’t be bothered, so I have made a start on it now. Tomorrow I shall be baking bread again as my fabulous loaf from last week is almost finished. I have some stuff being delivered tomorrow too, so I need to stay around the house for that. One of the cats is due a vet visit for booster shots, I will try to get that done on Thursday or Friday since it make sense to fit that in while I’m still at home. I will be visiting my doting parent on Sunday and will phone her later to see what she wants to do. I missed Mothering Sunday this year as I was in Paris for my birthday, we had planned to celebrate it a couple of weeks later but didn’t because the snow kept coming down and getting in the way. Now we seem to be largely snow-free again, I can finally deliver her gifts.
