The most 60s song

“Dandelion” by the Rolling Stones.

You and I and Rocket Surgery are most correctist! And again, Rocket Surgery beat me to this one, so props.

Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth,” with a strong second place to “Cherish,” by The Association as a nod to the teenage angst of the times.
Sadly, I don’t think that Motown songs bring the era to mind as quickly, because so many radio stations would not play black music.

“For What Its Worth”

Yep.

Even more 60s-er than Blues Magoos?

Judith Durham A World of Our Own

Eight Miles High” by the Byrds. Everything about it says 60s to me.

And it was even banned! How much more 60s can you GET?

Wow, what memories! How about “I Got You, Babe” by Sonny and Cher. There are so many differing types of 60’s music, but this one conjures up a real feel.

“Wear Your Love Like Heaven” by Donovan.

The one that immediately came to mind is Green Tambourine by The Lemon Pipers. Groovy nonsensical lyrics? Check. Weird tape effects on the track? Check. Some type of psychedelic drug use evident in choosing the band name? Check. Mixture of psychedelia and bubblegum pop? Check and double check.

And right next to Iron Butterfly…

Light My Fire, by the doors

Exactly. Or “Atlantis”.
