My time at the grocery store pharmacy coincided with “Billy Bob’s Big Mouth Bass” and its assorted knockoffs, and it seemed that every child of all ages who came into the store thought they were the only people who thought it was funny to set them off. When my nieces were toddlers, my sister got the family a chips and salsa dish that not only looked like a sombrero, it also had a button that played “The Mexican Hat Dance” when pushed. That thing had the battery removed within a few hours. Plus, they agreed even before they had their kids that the house would be a Barney Free Zone, and to their surprise, friends and relatives respected that! :eek: Someone else asked, “What’s their issue with Barney, besides the fact that he’s incredibly annoying to anyone over the age of 6?” and I replied, “You just answered your own question.” Somebody passed on a bag of stuffed animals that included Baby Bop, and they did allow the kids to play with it because it wasn’t Barney’s own loathsome purple self. 😛 We were never allowed to have Legos, and now I understand why. ---

I always loved buying the nieces ‘real’ make-up. Cheap dollar store stuff. The girls loved it. Moms not so much. I got paid back when one of my Sisters got the lil’wrekker stick-on fingernails.
