back in the early 60s when modeling was really big marvel had a title called chili .she was drawn like a archie version of mary jane Watson had archie style plots mixed in with the modeling world What made her different was the full page “portfolio” bikini shots back when bikinis were novelties themselves… among other drawings when these were found at a yard sale …they passed through my 5th grade class very quickly ---

Rogue looked really good around the time Jim Lee started drawing Uncanny X-Men. Previously she’d looked like a frumpy housewife (even though she was supposed to be a teenager) or some sort of nasty punk (sorry Mark Silvestri, but your Rogue stunk). Didn’t hurt that Lee’s run started about the time I was in puberty. ---
