So a child abduction case ended relatively happily when a complete stranger notices the vehicle in question and successfully brings it to a halt, whereupon the abductor released the child and unsuccessfully tried to get away. Thankfully most of the comments on CNN’s website praise the hero, and relatively few call for a torturous death for the abductor. Yeah, that was a good one. There was an Onion headline recently about political cartoonists getting hand-cramps from drawing sombreros on their cartoons about bedbug infestations. You should see how many of the comments obviously didn’t get that the butt of the joke was the cartoonists. ---

What’s the guy going to get for rescuing the girl and going to all the press conferences and crap? A key to the city and maybe a free burrito. What’s that work out to, $3 an hour? Americans don’t rescue little girls because the pay isn’t high enough. It’s a _job Americans won’t do_. ---
