The theme song to the original Garry Shandling show on FOX was annoying and catchy at the same time. It is the bane of my existence, because sometimes I will be doing something completely random, such as cutting the lawn, and suddenly…“This is the theme to Garry’s show, the theme to Garry’s show…” pops in my head. BTW, awesome username! ---

_Enterprise_ ditched the franchise’s long tradition of classy orchestral theme songs for a wimpy soft rock tune. The music they used for the two episodes set in the Mirror Universe was a hell of a lot better. ---

you’re kidding, right? you must have been born after 1985. Little Boxes was recorded and made famous by Pete Seegar, a prominent folk singer of the 50’s and 60’s - It was all about the sprawl of suburbia and in particular the cookie cutter houses for which the developer of Levittown (all 3: NY, NJ, and PA) was so renouned (altho his name escapes me at the moment) ---

“Little Boxes” was meant to be irritating because it was about sameness and comformity and irritating mindsets that make you scream in your sleep. My most hated theme: _The People’s Court_ ---

We used to sing “Little Boxes” when I was a little kid, in the late sixties, driving through the tumbling sprawl that was just beginning to scar over the land outside of Dallas. ---

It’s practically a cliche at this point, though it isn’t a great song either. ---

The [“Silver Spoons” theme](http://www.sitcomsonline.com/sounds/silverspoonscd.wav) was the first song that popped into my mind. However, in finding that link, I also [found](http://www.sitcomsonline.com/sounds/silvrsp2.wav) the “3rd opening theme song (1985-1987).” I had somehow never heard it before. _Damn_, that is one awful piece of “music.” (Both links from [here](http://www.sitcomsonline.com/silverspoonssounds.html).) ---
