There should be a counterpart thread posted by those who think only "edgy " belongs in vocal music. And maybe they can clarify just how much sentiment means “saccharine tripe,” unless they just like tarring everything with the same brush. ☹ ---

While Country Joe and the Fish’s most famous song _I Feel Like I’m Fixin’ to Die Rag_ has a bummer of a title, and does reference the war, it’s mainly upbeat. OTOH, [Here We Go Again](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrRlmeOhV2U) is a seriously complete downer, mopey song. ---

According to Wikipedia, Ted Nugent wanted to carry the monopoly concept even further: He wanted to buy out “Muzak” or “elevator music” specifically to get rid of it. Talk about bigotry. ☹ ---
