Actually, we have to thank Pence and Quayle, who Pence consulted in January 2021, for the fact that Trump didn’t overturn the 2020 election. When Pence asked, Quayle insisted that the VP couldn’t halt or set aside the count of electoral votes. Of course, now that we’re going to have a second Trump presidency anyway, and they’ve had four years to prepare for it, maybe it would have been better in the long run to let him muddle through the second four right away. Oh,well. ---
