# The most stupid/pathetic injury you have suffered

Rushing out the door, door catches on throw rug, I t-bone the edge of the door - perfectly - it doesn’t swing aside, I hear the hinges creak - or was it my sternum?

Couldn’t sleep lying down for weeks.

(luckily, I pulled my head back or I would have broken my nose as well)

The day before I started secondary school (I was 12) I was in the park with my mum and some friends. It had been raining before, leaving rain on things. I decided to run along the top of the wet parallel bars which were about 4 ft high. I did it ok the first time, and thought I would try it again to impress everyone doubly. I got almost to the end and then slipped; my feet went to the outside forming the pivot of a large human hammer. My head hit the tarmac just beyond the soft protective stuff underneath the bars.

I was in a kind of strange dream and remember waking up think I was in bed saying “mum, mum can I have a drink of juice please?” only to see the park and everyone gathered round me…  
Its no wonder my academic performance suffered.
