(BTW, the ad company that came up with this crap dug the hole a few yards deeper by claiming “that’s what Olympic athletes really think”.) “Second place is the first loser.” - Some worthless bum who’d be luck do finish tenth. “Nobody remembers who finished second.” - Some worthless bum who won’t remember the name of the event in two days. Some message-board related banality: “Just ignore it.” #1, this never happens. Ever. #2, no one is under any obligation to ignore it…there are MODERATORS in charge who are supposed to REMOVE THE CRAP POSTS. “Nobody cares.” Never, never, never evereverever true. Believe me, I was looking. Just pure ignorance. “Your post was so LONG!!!” I’ve always been mystified by this gripe. If you don’t like lots of reading, go to a damn oekaki board! And any and all sentences which use the “A word” or any equivalent. Nothing ingelligent ever comes out of that word. ---
