I went through Navy boot camp with a guy named Debris. Though spelled like ‘de-bree’, it was pronounce "De-briz’. ---

FWIW, most of the names people consider “unsexy” are just popular names from about two generations back (note all the Myrtles, Mables, Gertrudes, and so forth). In other words, the names your grandmother might have, and not something younger people associate sexyness with. ---
