George Wyle was also the musical director for Flip Wilson’s variety series. In one show, the guests were Roy Clark, Redd Foxx, and Petula Clark were all singing a song called “Let’s Fall in Love.” When Flip sang, he said something like: _Birds do it. Bees do it. Even people looking like George Wyle_[cut to Wyle directing]\* do it. Let’s do it. Let’s fall in love\* BTW, if anyone’s interested, here are the original lyrics for the pilot episode–that wasn’t shown until almost 30 years later: [http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bpl/gilligan.html](http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bpl/gilligan.html) ---
