It was shown on a Saturday night - more than once as I recall - along with _The Good, The Bad and The Ugly_. Not that they were a double-bill or anything, that’s the onl;y other film I can remember seeing. It was about a rebellion at a public school, so it was pretty progressive of the school to show it. The main bit I remember (apart from the ending which is some kind of machine gun orgy) was when the McDowell character seduced the Headmaster’s wife. Quite a turn-on! ---
