Yep-_that’s_ got to be the only reason they’re having trouble distributing _AmeriGEDDON_:rolleyes: A terrorist group run out of the United Nations, government troops taking away all our guns, a massive EMP bomb taking out the satellites-Chuck Norris’ son must have been directing with one hand and masturbating with the other. ---

It’s all true; the UN is actually running a SPECTRE-like organization chartered with sowing uncertainty and fear. Except, you notice how SPECTRE’s plans are always defeated by an inebriated, sex-and-gambling obsessed, marginally competent member of the largely discredited intelligence service of a once former but now shadowed empire? Still admire the hell out of it. The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. was fun, too.) The original script had them being part of the United Nations, but they scrapped that. Still, you can see the U.N. building very prominently in the establishment shots over Manhattan. (The recent movie was a delight! Most fun I’ve had watching a movie since Roger Rabbit!)
