I am so glad this thread was bumped. I missed it the first time, and I have been sitting here laughing and crying hysterically. Can I have everyone’s children, please? They sound like miracles, like walking Ionesco plays, like mountains of possibility, like silly orangutans of love. I want to be a mother. _sigh_ ---

My daughter has just learned how to take off her pants and shirt. I fear the pullups on the head days are not too far over the horizon. Nice to know I’m not alone 🙂 She tends to pull the front of her shirt up over her head and walk into the walls. Oh and she will stop _anything_ for the opportunity to help someone pee. This has disconcerted many a houseguest! ---

I found myself explaining the whole B.C. and A.D. thing to my 9-year-old last night. When I told him that Anno Domini means “In the year of our Lord” he exclaimed, “The almighty Zeus is my Lord!” Did I mention that he’s a big fan of the game Age of Mythology? ---

I don’t know if this counts as weird or not. My 3 year olds are like miniature demolition men. We had to take everything out of their room except for their mattresses. Bolting their stuff to the walls and floor wasn’t good enough. We had to rig the windows in their room because they figured out how to take them apart and pull them out of the wall. ---
