The mystery of the trinity

I would add that Jesus was quoted as telling the woman who wanted help with her son;“I came ONLY for the lost sheep of Israel” He did help her, but it wasn’t his purpose in coming to save the whole world as many believe.

Children are part of the equation, children are the future of Love and correct the past that the parents can not, is their any reason for a child born in Hell, but innocent, to have to experience that reality? Could not a Loving God create a alternate reality that is much more nice for that child and that child save it’s parents?

Let me try, The reality that I linked to in scriptures I believe some people live in directly. It is not ‘seeing the bigger picture’ as such, it is living in a different but interrelated realty.

As I take you point: Others can perceive the other reality to some degree but translate it to what they know. These are visions and the like, that is the ‘seeing the bigger picture’ but perhaps not seeing the other reality directly, but noticing some patterns that make sense or at least serve a purpose in one’s life.

In this very thread I have seen ‘the bigger picture’ and have expressed it here earlier with claiming that I have upset a higher level demon, and it’s end result - I got a mod warning (again no one here is a demon, that fear I expressed came from the other reality, not the mod).

Look at it this way, if we are already in hellfire, didn’t God make Hell a really nice place for us considering what it is.

It is clear from scriptures that Jesus didn’t know everything, this is one of several examples.

Jesus is the child, and needs a parent to help guide him, we are all God’s children and also need such guidance.

Frankly, there is a good reason. Consider peanut allergies: there is a theory that that, and other health issues, may be the result of sanitizing childhood, that children are healthier, long term, if they run outside, get dirty, and get sick from time to time. Without exposure to nasty stuff, we never develop the ability to deal with it.

Thus, making the world “nice” for the children is entirely the opposite of doing them a favor. If they lack experience with ugliness, how will the find the strength or courage to “save” themselves, much less their parents? Protecting them in their formative years is exactly not the act of a loving god.

So that means Jesus is…God’s grandson? Whafuhuh???

Sweet Judas Priest…next time I visit Kanicland, remind me to bring a map. :smack:

No and a loving all knowing just God would not do that. A human parent doesn’t know what a child will do but an all knowing, loving , just God should know.

Well, yeah, the earth is pretty nice. Um… So what?

Are you saying this world is hell? If so, what are religions for? Are your pointless posts part of the punishment, or…what? Can you possibly make yourself any less clear here?

I don’t know where you got grandson from Jesus is God’s child, we are all God’s child, but hey yeah it works, the native Americans call father God ‘grandfather’ God, so it works too.

Along with a map, though I personally recommend a smartphone with GPS app, bring pie - JK, really just bring a lamb without blemish.

It is exactly the reason that God knows all that we are spared such unneeded pain.

One thing I have been lead to consider is yes, we live in hell right now. Again only a consideration, I don’t claim it but. Many have said we start to die from the moment we are born. If you include reincarnation, we live and die in a cycle of eternal death. Now if this is ‘Hell’ I got to say we have a pretty nice God for allowing us to experence it as we do.

IMHO Religions are allowed to exist to 1- provide a sense of community for those who need it, but 2 exist ultimately to show they stand in the way of you knowing God to allow us to reject as proof of our faith of God.

That is between you and you god, so I suggest asking it.

Well thank you for this, I am trying to explain how we are god and we are God’s children, aka the mystery of the trinity, no wonder it is so hard to explain.

Is rape a needed pain?

Sure would be nice if this were the truth…but you’re correct, some people (such as my aunt) only attend church to hang out with friends & gossip. The “message”, if any, is secondary.

Don’t let the people who live in war-torn, famine-stricken countries hear you say that…

Let them hear it and let them compare their life to mine and see if they still object.

You are talking to someone who endured this. My answer would a every loving God endure rape to spare the suffering of God’s very child?

This thread WILL NOT turn into an inquisition of kanicbird regarding personal experiences of rape.

kanicbird, you have been around long enough to know what sort of reaction your (rather unclear) statement would provoke. If you need to make some point about suffering, find a better way to do it.

EVERYONE, drop this branch of the discussion.

And you know this to be a fact or is it just your beliefs? It shows me that your God is either not all knowing or is a cruel egotistical being.
