# The Nanny state increases: CA town bans smoking in all non detached private residences

Cigarette smoke is more unhealthy than other types of smoke. That said, I don’t know if there are studies about the effects of long-distance secondhand smoke. I don’t think it should be banned if it’s just a nuisance.
