The Natalee Holloway story is really not that important

Oh come on, Holloway didn’t entirely drown out other reports of important world affairs.

There was that boy scout missing in Utah, too.

Except that this is a hypothetically shared experience, i.e. a morbid fantasy. The actual shared experience that is being completely ignored is that we would all hate to have a thousand satellite trucks trying to get into our driveway and gumming up our neighborhood while we’re trying to deal with a private family emergency.
