Orange is apparently the dominant color. “Dragons” and “Flight” were apparently the runner-ups. I could have lived with “Dragons,” but “Flight”? Holy shit, what a dumb name. ---

“Flight’s” pretty bad, all right, but not quite as bad as what they almost called the Hornets: the “Charlotte Spirit”. Yech. They should’ve fought to keep the Hornets name from moving with the team. ---

They haven’t chosen yet, right? But with the limited choice of Bobcats, Dragons and Flight, I’ll take The **Charlotte Dragons** as the coolest. However, they should’ve kept Hornets… and New Orleans could’ve taken their Jazz back from Utah, whilst Utah should be picking a new team name… Perhaps the **Utah Bobcats?** 😃 ---

**AlphaWolf** , I think they mainy eschew violent-sounding names, because they don’t want the wee fans associating their sports heroes with mayhem. Kinda why the Washington Bullets became the Washington Wizards in the NBA.
