# The New York Times thinks Obama is biased in favor of white males

If the NY Times applied its own ethnic or gender bean counting it would also reveal some statistical overrepresentation by some groups. Looking at the backgrounds of the 12[Opiniontator](http://www.nytimes.com/pages/opinion/index.html) writers, I can see one African-American writer, no Hispanics, and at least 10 jewish writers. In the columnists I can see one black writer, no Hispanics, and the majority are Jewish.

Following the NY Times line about Obama don’t they need to diversify?
