I think you’re talking about not having to type into a computer any more, and that would an enormous leap for sure.

But I think most people have noticed that they don’t have to push buttons many times when they call their ISP help line or their health insurance company. “English. Member. Benefits. ABC1234567.”

I can’t say what the next revolutionary invention would be…if I could, I’d be rich.

I think we’ll start seeing mind-bending stuff when large scale nanotech becomes more commercial. (DLP TV’s would be a good example of the fledgling field. A chip with several hundre thousand mirrors, all on pivots, move to turn light pixels on and off…several hundred thousand. In a chip that’s about an inch and a half diagonal…and they all **move** …but more than that, they move **60** times a second and will do so several million times in their life.

Another interesting thing to watch is personal fabrication. Want a new cellphone? Download the instructions, change the cartridges in your inkjet printer and _print it out_.

I had an Indian (the country) physics teacher in college, who would talk of such of thing in her charming accent calling it the frezzawava!

It was funny. And also a complete dream, being that I am addicted to the coldest beverages possible…

I see the end of actual paper/coin money, and relying on only electronic/card version. A $20 bill will be so quaint…

And not worth the price of a cuppa coffee. (well, a half caff-decaff-soy-latte-pooka-cheeno-nano-health-spritz)
