Stick them on a helicopter and fly them up to Northern Alberta/NWT for a month, starting in Novemeber. Temperatures could easily range from +5C to -40. Make 'em kill Moose and deer to survive and actually risk dying from exposure. There’d even be the odd top predator for them to be worried about it. Hell, I’d even watch it then. Then do everyone a favor and cancel it. ---

I know they’ve considered Alaska, but something north of the Shield would probably be more “exotic” to American audiences. A couple of series back, they had intended to film in the deserts of Jordan, but after 9-11 decided that it probably wasn’t such a great idea. I’m looking forward to SURVIVOR: SOUTH CENTRAL L.A. ---

I doubt they’ll ever have it set in a cold location. Existing in cold weather actually requires some survivor skills, the risks of hypothermia and frostbite are too great for your typical Survivor cast. ---

There is summer in the Arctic, with above zero C temperatures and everything. ---

Nah. Those are both “quality” entertainment. Touched a raw nerve, did I? Rest assured, **Minty**. I doubt the CBS execs are watching this thread and going “Man! That **bernse** dude from the SDMB says we should cancel survivor. We’d better get on it!” When survivor finally gets cancelled, it’ll be by its own merits. But, in the meantime, do kick back and watch it! Its a free country! ---

Hey, don’t you pay attention! This is Canada we’re talking about! Where all American programming gets bought and aired in simulcast on Canadian channels-- so we’ve got Survivor on TWO channels at the same time. But we never had those pesky American ads if it’s in simulcast.
