It’s pretty light fare. The male lead seems blandsome , but Luciane Buchanan doing some work. So far the plot is meh. There’s profanity that feels forced somehow. ---

It’s _24_ without the ticking clock. I’m four episodes in and so far there’s been nothing quite as egregious as a sudden case of amnesia or someone being stalked by a mountain lion, but it feels like something equally ridiculous is just around the corner. That said, I’m still watching it and will probably finish it. Even if it advances the tension in obvious ways at each step, it does so effectively and efficiently. Sometimes predictable, mindless entertainment is what you need. ---

I watched it. It was decent enough, but certainly not something you want to examine too deeply. The conspiracy plot gets thicker and thicker as the show goes on, so the more you are able to suspend your disbelief, the better. ---

I binged it last week. I enjoyed it enough to consider watching another season. When we found out what the original conspiracy plot was about, it seemed a bit ridiculous, but once you accepted that, the escalations of the plot mostly made sense. In the: It’s not the crime that gets you, it’s the cover-up …sense. ---

Thanks for starting this thread, as I was looking for a place to talk about the show. Seeing that it was being promoted on Netflix and had a rating of 7.7 of IMDB I started watching. It started off interestingly enough, but by the middle of episode three I had to ask myself “Why am I watching this?” I didn’t find any hooks that were catching my fancy. Maybe I’ll pick it up again if enough of you can convince me that it gets better. ---

I’d say three episodes is probably enough to figure out if this is up your alley. There are some nice twists later on, but nothing so fantastic that it’s worth hanging on if you don’t like the basic premise and execution. ---

Mrs. solost and I watched ep1 last night. I think dummygladhands71 pretty much sums up my thoughts. It’s something to watch. Will probably continue until such time as it gets too ridiculous and / or formulaic. With these types of formulaic actioners I always like to predict what will happen. Here are my perfectly obvious predictions as of ep1: - The subway bomber from the year before that opened the show, who the male lead fought with, revealing a snake tattoo on the bomber’s torso, but then got away, will turn out to be connected to the ‘12 months later’ baddies who kill the female lead’s Aunt and Uncle and started the whole ‘Night Action’ stuff. - The baddies will turn out to have also semi-framed the male lead’s father, who also had been an FBI agent, who died under a cloud of suspicion as a possible traitor. - Either grizzled FBI veteran Robert Patrick or the male lead’s White House handler (the Asian woman) or both will turn out to be secret ‘government plant’ bad guys. I suspect Patrick may be a red herring, since he’s such an asshole, and will turn out to be a good guy after all, and the female White House handler will be the actual plant / mole, but I don’t know if the show is clever enough for that kind of misdirection. ---

Meh, it was ok. Engaging enough that I finished the season, but just barely so. The contrivances necessary to keep all the characters in play quickly grew rather silly. I agree that the f-bombs seemed forced. I _was_ surprised by some of the people who didn’t survive, and I’m a _little_ bit curious how they’re going to resolve the fates of a few that were left unspecified, but not very. ---

I enjoyed it overall, but I think it fell a bit short of the hype. The Martha Stewart-esque monotone of Diane Farr (Chief of Staff) was very annoying! Luciane Buchanan (Rose) has a lot of potential and I’m hoping to see more of her. Gabriel Basso (Peter) was sort of blah, but not horrible. I’m not sure if it was the writing, directing or acting. ---

Was I the only one who thought the writers had forgotten to resolve the cliffhanger that ended the first episode? I was very distracted by the fate of a certain character. And it seems the writers might have forgotten about it too because the situation is resolved with a throwaway line in episode seven! ---
