RIP. Everyone who I loved when I was little are now dying. I guess that’s bound to happen once you hit 50. ---

Oh man, I loved The Platters. A great talent, for sure. ---

…and the land is dark. Goodbye, Mr. King. Your voice lives on in our hearts and minds. ---

[Stand by Me](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vbg7YoXiKn0) is of course one of the great songs. So good both [Lennon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vSWHkxZgOI)and McCartney covered it as solo artists. But [Spanish Harlem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGd6CdtOqEE) is also great along with [Magic Moment](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUYrjZlK2o0) another classic. Such an awesome and soulful voice. ---

I always loved “Up On The Roof.” Amazing how the orchestrations and Ben’s voice made a city rooftop sound like a wonderland. ---

“This Magic Moment” will forever remind me of the scene from **The Sandlot** where Michael “Squints” Palledorous puts the moves on the cute lifeguard (and later goes on to marry).
