And so we see the need for Congress’ attempt to rush, rush, rush it into passage without even knowing what’s in it. They knew it couldn’t stand the light of day, and sure enough, the more that people find out about it and the more they consider the future ramifications of it, the more they oppose it.

If the Forces of Darkness win this thing, and there is no reform, then every time someone gets screwed by their health insurer, they’re going to remember who to thank. So, absent a radical change in their policies and procedures, thats one fuck of a lot of new Democrats. When they’re already behind the curve.
Not to mention the friends and families of same. And that demographic includes blacks, whites, Southerners, Northerners, latinos, gays, gay latinos and so on and so forth.

Fact is it is being discussed during recess. Then it has to pass both houses. Then a version of the two will be worked out. That is hardly jamming a bill through the legislative branch. The Anti-Terrorism Bill went through is a couple days.
