Happy Thursday, one more day after today. 🙂 I’m up, caffeinating and have brekkied on oatmeal this morning. We’re getting a whole lotta rain today, so out comes the orange rain poncho. Disagree on 3. Not only do you have as much of a possibility of getting green bricks as black ones or blue ones, but the kind made of glass doesn’t have a space. ---

I’m going to jail! It’s ok, I do every year for the MDA Lockup. Off to “jail” which is the Taphouse, where I raise bail for Muscular Dystrophy to get “free”. Meanwhile, they lay out snacks and stuff for us. Nice jail. Made it home in the rain without melting - go me! 😃 I had training today on VERA/VSIP (Voluntary Early Retirement Asomething/Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay) and while the guy doing the training was some high-up mucky muck, he sucked as a trainer. Too many tangents and too many personal asides. But if he didn’t lie to us, my retirement annuity will be considerably larger than I’d expected. I just faxed off a form to request a computation based on a retirement date of the end of this year and of the day I turn 62. I should hear back in 30 days. Tuna noodle casserole for supper. I’m snacking on some peanuts right now because the training ran long and I didn’t have lunch. That’s all for now. This has been one long week, but I heard rumors that we won’t be on call this weekend, so that’s good. I may finally get to Mom’s. Congrats as appropriate - I also forgot to make mention earlier, altho I did give a YAY as I read all the good news. So the thought was there even if the words weren’t. 😃 ---

I thought I had my taxes done. Apparently I entered the electronic PIN in the wrong place and had to resubmit. _crosses fingers_ Culinary Boy is battling some major depression. He still hasn’t found a job and the Place That Employs Spaz has apparently decided to jerk him around about whether or not they’ll hire him. If they hire the idiot I think they just did, they might want to keep those applications in an easy-to-reach space. You can tell a lot about how long someone will last from how they treat the person who answers the phone. I’m starting to get really worried about him (Culinary Boy, that is.) ---

I went to the soup supper at church last night and Ash Wednesday service. The only problem being that only one person brought soup! Usually there are a half-dozen crock pots of soup. So for the number of people attending, there was a serious soup shortage. Fortunately, they do always make a pot of Campbell’s chicken noodle for the kids so there was that. But other than that, it was bread and dessert. Oops! A project from two years ago that I hated at the time came back to me. At the time, I was given code from someone else that was entirely confusing and unclear. Well, in the intervening two years, at least two other people have gotten their hands on the code and have mucked it up even further. I threw it out and started from scratch, but I can’t even figure out how the output was _supposed_ to be defined. The way they are defining it doesn’t make any sense at all, and I wasn’t involved at the real beginning so I don’t know the intent. But I do know that it’s messed up and now I’m stuck with fixing it. Yippee. ---

Howdy All–Thanks for the warm welcome again. I was christened Stuffed a while back. I live in the Keys and we had a hell of a front pass through today with winds of over 50 mph. Hubby saw heart dr. and asked about his diet. Doc said “eat anything you want just don’t swallow and drink anything you want just don’t swallow”. Hubby was asking about alcohol and green veggies. l was not amused and will be at the next appt. This heart stuff is scarey. Will check the blog for Tofu recipes. I had it once and liked it. Hubby is now drinking O’Douls which is just as expensive as the real deal but he is doing better. Rosie’s sig to all.
