I don’t think I participated in the thread, no need to as everybody else was making quite reasonable arguments, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. He moved the goalposts every time he posted something new–a textbook example of the tactic, I still believe. He saw himself as an expert on radio and pop music of the era (had he possibly been a DJ at the time?) but so completely missed the point of this song…it was astonishing. Thanks for reawakening the memories! ---

when I was here the first time there was a chick who seemed ok until everyone noticed every thread she made was about blowjobs … after she was banned and we had the great board shutdown she followed us to the temp replacement board and was banned there too … then there was a supposedly Brazilian exchange student who posted here for a bit that lived with a Jehovahs witness and couldn’t figure out why her exchange parent didn’t like the fact that she got drunk all night and got a tattoo … I think they moved her on to the next place or she got kicked out of the program … (it was some type of tour it seemed ) ---

He was crazy but I miss him. My armchair diagnosis is Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. I once rebutted his argument that ‘‘anyone can tell’’ by posting a pic of myself at various ages and asking him to guess which one was underage (I looked like a young adult from the age of 12.) Fail. ---

His last posts on the board were in that thread. I don’t know if he left in embarrassment or died of exhaustion. ---

Alas, all the links have long since rotted away to his world-shaking enlargements of NASA photos of the lunar surface. You young whippersnappers can only _imagine_ the glorious vistas presented, of page after page of extreme close-up pictures of…dirt. And rocks. On the Moon! Even we old-timers only have memories, now dimmed by the passage of the years. ---

My Favorites (no clue on usernames…sorry) include…the woman that wouldn’t move one seat over in a full movie theater because she had gotten her seat early. The woman that would pull out a book and start to read when she got bored on dates. The young kid (anonymous or something) that would write begging for advice on how to pick up women. And the guy that got evicted from his apartment because he never picked up after his dog. ---
