The first was [Infovore](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=620562) and is still around and I haven’t really noticed being odd normally. The third is probably R3d Anonymous (formerly Anonymous User) who is also still around but definitely odd. He also had a really, really big obsession with getting into MIT for a while, and it seems like he has really strict parents. I don’t know if he still has the hangup about virgins, dating, his height, and whatnot. He actually reminded me of how I was until a few years ago but then went on a completely different developmental path. [This](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=724032) (NSFW) was by far his oddest thread, and by oddest I mean that despite the fact that I posted a joke I was very creeped out inside. Keep in mind he was underage at the time. ---

I just remembered, who was the person (woman?) with the ghost BFF? I think she eventually agreed to some sort of test and had her faith shaken because it didn’t work? ---

I can’t remember her name, but the woman who was her husband’s 24-7 “love slave” and they acted it out even in front of their kids. ---

I wonder if a model of the twin towers made of mashed potatoes would burn if you threw a model airplane full of gasoline into it. 😃 ---

What about that guy who believed he had a near-death experience? Wasn’t there even something about testing his abilities to remote-view by some poster putting up something for him to identify the next time he went on one of his astral trips? Whatever became of that? (Sorry for vagueness, it seems I have limited memory space available for the details of the various kooks that roam around…) ---

There was one poster who brought a bunch of instruments and sound equipment to a Borders store and started some unsolicited jamming in the cafe area, then got all pissy when they wouldn’t comp him a sandwich. He was all “but I’m providing quality entertainment on my $10,000 sound system and kickin’ flute licks, why the hell can’t you give me a ham and Swiss with mustard?!” I seem to remember him questioning the musical tastes of the poor Borders employee he was berating, his totally unwanted awesome jams were worth at least a prepackaged sandwich. Because that is a normal transaction that people engage in daily. 1 flute jam = 1 saran wrapped sandwich. It read like an episode of The Office if Dwight Shrute was a musician. ---

Zenster My favorite from when I first joined was the incomprehensible **Bj0rn**. Reading his stuff was my first experience with word salad. These days though, I just read about some woman who preferred to have ongoing affairs in her head with, let’s see… maybe celebrities or just people she made up or glimpsed in a store. I dunno. I just know whoever it was occasionally had her driving poorly in traffic because of it. ---
