I got a phone call just as Andy was planting the Betrayal Seed with Michael. When I got back, Andy was all happy and Angela had the scariest look I’ve ever seen on a human being who wasn’t wearing a skinface and holding a chainsaw. Did Michael demote Dwight? Did Dwight have to 'fess up to Michael? What happened? ---

Great episode. We finally see who the good and bad salesmen are. Good: Phyllis, Dwight, Jim, Michael, Stanley (presumably) Bad: Andy, Ryan. Jury still out: Karen Andy’s “Oompah-Loompah” song was freaking hilarious. The picture of young Dwight and young Jim was pretty funny. Andy trying to ruin Dwight’s career wasn’t funny to me. And the joy he took in seeing Dwight disgraced makes him seem like a horrible human being, to me. Ryan’s total inability to talk to a group of black men was genius. I don’t normally notice clothes and such, but I just thought I’d comment that that thing Angela was wearing was pretty damn ugly. And happy Angela is just wrong, anyway. Question: Why did Dwight go to NY? I missed about 2 minutes at the beginning. According to my TV listings widget, next weekOscar comes back!!Yay! ---

Oh, my God. ElzaHub and I HOWLED when we saw poor Karen with Phyllis after the beauty parlor trip. We actually had to pause the DVR because we were laughing so hard. The Oompa Loompa song was _fan_-freakin’-_tastic_. “Dwight is a douche!” E. ---

Loved Jim and Dwight working together, and how Jim didn’t even look at Dwight while he was dialing the phone; they may hate each other, but they’re a great sales team. ---

Man, Dwight came off as downright NOBLE tonight. Taking the bullet for his true love, and kicking ass on the sales call. (He did lose a few points, however, when Jim bitch-slapped him. ) ---

I loved the Jim/Dwight sales call. I liked the effortlessness of it and the way they fell into what seemed like a well-practiced team. I actually kind of liked that all the salespeople were shown as competent, especially michael. It keeps the show more grounded in reality when we see that these people really can do their jobs. Most shows would go for the cheaper laughs of making them all into bumblers. Angela’s death glare was awesome. I think Andy just made the wrong enemy. ---

I’d love some details on why Dwight did what he did, how it went down. I went to the website and the episode’s not up. Do they even put entire episodes up, or just segments? I’m dying! Damn phone. ---

“I was his second pick after, ‘I’ll pass’.” That was a great setup at the end with Andy in the back room gloating, trying to get the camera’s attention back, while Angela is locking him in with the death stare. Did they update the opening credits to include any of the Stamford people? ---

Holy crap! Surely Dwight will get his job back, right? I was feeling positively bad for Dwight by the end. Andy is a complete douchebag, and an incompetent salesman to boot. I cringed when Andy one-upped the client. I hope Angela ends up with an Andy-skin rug in front of her fireplace in the near future. :mad: ---

Jim tried to lie to Karen about his “thing” for Pam! Why: BECAUSE IT IS A CURRENT THING! :eek: And Pam, from going out to coffee with Angela, could put all the pieces together about “Noelle”(?) and “Curt” and come to the rescue of Dwight’s reputation and the ruin of Angela’s! (IE, her office romance). I only wish my office was half as interesting. ---

Also, Dwight’s middle name is Kurt (with a “K”), which Jim knew offhand in “The Injury,” so it’s reasonable that Pam would have made the connection instantly. ---

One thing the episode made clear is that Michael, despite his many flaws, can sell! This was also demonstrated in the episode when he started his thing with Jan – he closed a big deal at that time. Oh yes, I forgot that Michael has won sales awards in the past. So it’s no wonder why he stays employed at Dunder Mifflin. ---
