At least there’s one aspect of “Office” that’s impossible for NBC NOT to improve on: the attractiveness of the cast. And in the end, isn’t that the most important thing over here? This “Office” is going to be a hit.

I think one of the reasons The Office works is because of the relatively mundane looks of its cast. I wish instead if them trying to make an Amercian version, they’d just funnel money to the original cast to make more seasons.

Are there any good USA comedy shows that I could find on DVD or cable? There are a lot of ‘humourous’ sitcoms set in peoples living rooms, like Seinfeld and Friends, but thats about it.

Does Newark smell alternatively of Chocolate some days and Poo on other days? Does it have the biggest industrial park in Europe? and is it named after the word for a bog or marsh?
I think not…

Actually, where my wife grew up (in NJ) she either got the smell of Walker-Gordon Dairy Farms or the smell from the plant fabricating Jell-O artificial flavorings, depending upon the way the wind was blowing.

Of course, she wasn’t near Newark. I was closer to Newark, which isn’t far from the Industrial Wasteland at the northern terminus of the Texas-to-Linden pipeline, filled with chemical companies and petroleum cracking towers. Newark doesn’t get Poo or chocolate – just generic air pollution and the occasional industrial refinary odors.
