I’m confused as hell watching CNN’s map. If it’s colored in are they calling it or is it trending? ETA: Is that chick on CNN on crack. How the fuck do you call Mourdock’s race a bellwether? How many REPUBLICANS are voting against the legitimate rapist. I know I would. ---

As much as I hope to see that remain, I suspect it’s the opposite of what’s going on in Virginia: the urban areas here (as nearly everywhere) are more Democratic than the rural areas, so what certain counties report doesn’t mean anything. I doubt we’ll go blue this time. ---

CNN has Florida at 52/48 Obama with 35% in…I think that if Obama takes that one it’s going to be all over for Romney. He’s at 74/24 in New Hampshire, but Ohio is at 61/38 Romney…but less than 1% of the vote is in, so that doesn’t mean much I’d guess. ---

I voted last Friday in my Dallas suburb - no line when I walked in and took about 5 minutes on an electronic voting machine including triple checking that all my check marks were in the right place. I have been nervous all day 538 and other projections notwithstanding. ---

If they’re just counting votes as they come in, it doesn’t mean anything either way, since different precincts can have wildly different leans. 538’s liveblog coverage says they’re going to be correcting for that, but they haven’t posted much yet. ---

FWIW, Daily Kos has a list of [county benchmarks](http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/06/1156010/-Daily-Kos-Elections-county-benchmarks-for-Nov-6-2012) that Obama needs to beat to win the swing states. This accounts for size and political lean of areas. ---

[Huffpo](http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/2012/results/ohio) has a good way to look at it. As each district comes in, it has a graph showing the percentage this year vs. 2008. Ohio, for example has four districts called now and though three are for Romney, all four are higher percentages for Obama than 2008. More reporting on review.
